Welcome to my web page... and the beginning of what promises to be an incredible journey. This July I am going to push myself, body and mind, by walking 60 miles in 3 days (San Jose to San Francisco). Why you ask? As a tribute to those loved ones we have lost to Breast Cancer and those who have survived this devastating disease.
Last year I, as well as my friends at San Jose Police Department, sadly lost a coworker and friend to Breast Cancer, Teresa Arruda. My friend Sandy's sister, Janis Toledo, lost her battle in February of this year. I have also seen two other people I truly care about battle the illness and survive; My Mother-in-law: Cheryl Cortese, and my former employer's wife: Bonnie Lim. I want to contribute what I can to help prevent others and their families from having to face this traumatic experience.
It is a requirement of each participant to raise a minimum of $1900 in donations for this very worthy cause. My own personal goal is $2500, $600 more than the minimum. Any contribution you feel you can make would be greatly appreciated.
